About Us
Cal Poly ASHRAE is the first student branch of ASHRAE. The Air Conditioning Club was formed in 1930 to promote and develop student interest in the HVAC&R industry (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning, and Refrigeration.) Shortly after, ASHRAE was conceived with the merging of ASHAE and ASRE. In 1959, Cal Poly petitioned to establish the first student branch. The charter was officially approved in 1960.
We look forward to an exciting year with some great guest speakers, design projects, and field trips planned. Our meetings are every other Thursday, at 11 am in building 13, room 124. For info on our next meeting, check out our Schedule for the quarter or contact one of our Club Officers.
