Cal Poly ASHRAE is the first student branch of ASHRAE. The Air Conditioning Club was formed in 1930 to promote and develop student interest in the HVAC&R industry (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning, and Refrigeration.) Shortly after, ASHRAE was conceived with the merging of ASHAE and ASRE. In 1959, Cal Poly petitioned to establish the first student branch. The charter was officially approved in 1960.We look forward to an exciting year with some great guest speakers, design projects, and field trips planned. Our meetings are every other Thursday, at 11 am in building 13, room 124. For info on our next meeting, check out our Schedule for the quarter or contact one of our Club Officers.

Next Meeting & Officer Elections

Thursday, May 22nd, 11am 13-124. We will be holding Officer Elections! If you would like to get involved with ASHRAE now is your chance! Click here to view the description of officer positions and responsibilities.

This will be the last meeting of the year and it will be a good one. Western Allied Mecahnical (Design-Build contractor) will be holding an informational panel discussion. Come see what they have to say about working in the field. This is a great oppotunity to ask any questions about the industry. As usual, pizza and drinks provided.

Internships/Scholarships

We have many job listing from employers actively seeking internship and job positions.  There is also an internship/scholarship program available for 2 freshman, 4 sophomores, 4 Juniors, and 2 seniors who participate in an internship with an HVAC&R company.
